What Causes a Toothache?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

So, Should I Save My Tooth or Have it Removed? <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

While a tooth extraction may seem like the more\nstraightforward and less costly option at a glance, a gap in your teeth can\nlead to oral health issues such as bone loss in the jaw or teeth drifting out\nof place. There are restorative treatments that can replace a missing tooth,\nbut they can be expensive and lead to their own complications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With a root canal, you\u2019ll preserve your natural teeth and\nall the benefits associated with them such as normal biting force and keeping a\nnatural look. This will also help limit how much you\u2019ll need to pay for\nadditional dental work down the line. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your dentist confirms that your toothache is due to an\ninfection, ask about the available treatments and give careful consideration to\nwhether or not you want to save the tooth; be sure to clearly voice any\nconcerns you have right away.
